Vashon Lutheran Church hosts multiple quilting groups who meet weekly to create quilts for a variety of recipients, including cancer patients at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and Cancer Care Alliance.

The Vashon Care Network grew out of the need to connect people on Vashon with the services, supplies, and support required to live at home independently. VCN acts as an umbrella organization to help Islanders in need--offering free medical supplies through our Care Closet (located on site at Vashon Lutheran Church), as well as offering information regarding care options for individual care needs.
Vashon Lutheran Church hosts regular blood drives through Bloodworks Northwest. Blood drive events are held onsite in our fellowship hall.

Our Synod is in partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in European Russia (ELCER). Team Russia is our Synod's task force, working to forge bonds on three levels: synod to synod, congregation to congregation (partners), and person to person (friendship).
Vashon Lutheran Church is a long-time participant, partnering with a number of ELCER congregations in Russia over the years.
